India and Pakistan ceasefire aided by "very proactive" negotiators including US
India and Pakistan have agreed to a ceasefire, U.S. President Donald Trump announced on Saturday.
“The great breakthrough has just happened,” journalist Owess Tohid tells Global News. “I have the confirmation from Pakistani top officials and deputy prime minister and foreign minister (Ishaq Dar), he has confirmed it,” Tohid adds.
Tohid says Dar also confirmed that the U.S., Saudi Arabia, Iran and China were very proactive in negotiating the “comprehensive ceasefire” agreement.
