Initial stage of Scotland's Assisted Dying Bill approved by Holyrood | ITV News
Scotland’s Assisted Dying Bill has received initial approval from members of the Scottish Parliament after almost five hours of debate.
Holyrood voted in favour of the Assisted Dying for Terminally Ill Adults (Scotland) Bill which was introduced by Liberal Democrat Liam McArthur.
McArthur called it a “landmark moment for Scotland” after MSPs backed the general principles of his proposals.
