‘Irrelevant fool’: Anthony Albanese slammed over Trump phone claim
Sky News contributor Kristin Tate has criticised Prime Minister Anthony Albanese for his explanation regarding the lack of communication with US President Donald Trump.
Mr Albanese sparked controversy during Sunday night’s debate when he suggested that Trump doesn’t have a mobile phone.
However, the Prime Minister walked back his statement the following day, clarifying at a press conference that he simply doesn’t have Trump’s phone number.
“If your PM wanted to get in touch with Trump, he obviously could have, that’s what he should have said,” Ms Tate told Sky News host Chris Kenny.
“Now he just looks like an irrelevant fool for suggesting that Trump doesn’t have a cell phone. That’s ridiculous.”
