Israel allows limited food supply into Gaza as Palestinians face starvation
A basic amount of food will be allowed into Gaza, according to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
This comes after Israel’s military recently started an extensive ground operation in northern and southern Gaza.
Mr Netanyahu’s office has said the move is aimed at preventing famine in the war-torn strip, whilst ensuring the Israeli military operations are not compromised.
Aid agencies have repeatedly warned that Gaza is on the verge of starvation and have called for immediate humanitarian access.
