Israel has launched a major ground operation in Gaza, aimed at pressuring Hamas to release remaining hostages.
Defense Minister Israel Katz said Saturday that “Operation Gideon’s Chariots” is being led with “great force.”
The move follows days of intense airstrikes that killed more than 300 Palestinians, according to health officials.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says the goal is to destroy Hamas after the collapse of ceasefire talks.
