Jim Chalmers looks for ‘gold star’ for ‘racking up’ a trillion in debt
Sky News host Paul Murray slams Treasurer Jim Chalmers for claiming to have cut a billion off their soon-to-be trillion-dollar debt.
“I wanted to just quickly mention Jim Chalmers … was out and about today saying oh, we have cut a billion dollars off the debt,” Mr Murray said.
“He does know the debt this year will be one thousand billion dollars … so, yay … yet still he wants a gold star.”
