Joe Biden mumbles on ‘The View’ before Jill Biden steps in to save him
Joe and Jill Biden have hit out at rumours that the former president’s mental decline was covered up by the White House.
On Thursday, the former president and former first lady appeared together on ‘The View’ in their first joint interview since leaving the White House.
During his appearance on the ABC talk show, co-host Alyssa Farah asked Joe Biden about rumours surrounding his mental decline.
Since leaving the White House, several books have come out with Democratic sources revealing there was a “dramatic decline” in Biden’s cognitive ability.
Biden asserted the reports and rumours were incorrect and “wrong” before going on a tangent about the Trump Administration.
While attempting to defend himself from rumours that he had suffered a mental decline, Biden trailed off-topic mid-sentence.
As Biden struggled to speak, his wife Jill stepped in to answer Farah’s question and finish her husband’s answer.
