Judge Mushtak Parker's conduct hearing: Mbekezeli Benjamin weighs in
A high-profile judicial hearing began today, as the Judicial Conduct Tribunal opens proceedings into serious misconduct allegations against Western Cape High Court Judge Mushtak Parker.
Judge Parker stands accused of lying under oath and submitting a false affidavit -which claims that he was physical assaulted by former Judge President John Hlophe.
The hearing, set to take place virtually, follows complaints filed by ten judges of the Western Cape High Court along with the Cape Bar Council.
To speak more on this, we have roped in Research and Advocacy Officer at Judges Matter, Mbekezeli Benjamin to weigh in on this.
