KZN Rains | There are plans to relocate over 1 000 families: Ndabezinhle Sibiya
At least 50 homes have been damaged and some have collapsed following last weeks rain. The severe downpour caused structural collapse that injured six residents when their homes gave way.
The provincial government says they plan to evacuate over 1 000 residents in Umlazi’s H section as the area is not safe. The homes are built on a slope and are at risk of potential landslides.
