Labor expected to make ‘significant decision’ on the North West Shelf gas project by end of May
Environment and Water Minister Murray Watt claims he has not made a decision on whether to approve the proposal to extend the life of the North West Shelf gas project or not.
“I haven’t made any decision at this point in time; it would be a little bit early for me to be doing that,” he told Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell.
“It is my intention to make that decision by May 31, which is the current deadline there.
“I’ll be expecting formal briefings from the department in the coming day.”
