Labor has a ‘responsible’ economic record: Murray Watt
Workplace Relations Minister Murray Watt says the Albanese government has a “responsible” economic record.
“Obviously, the economic conditions have changed somewhat over the last 12 months, but, again, we’ve delivered two consecutive budget surpluses,” Mr Watt told Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell.
“We do think that we can look back at our economic record, demonstrate that it’s been responsible, delivering those surpluses, paying down that enormous quantities of Liberal debt.
“The national debt is $177 billion less than it was under the Coalition when we came to office.”
