Late ANC SG Duma Nokwe’s remains reburied in SA
President Cyril Ramaphosa says he wishes that the former ANC secretary-general, the late Adv Duma Nokwe, was received back in the country while he was still alive.
Ramaphosa delivered the eulogy at the reburial of the anti-apartheid activist, whose remains were repatriated late last year.
Nokwe, who passed away in exile in Zambia in 1978, was reburied alongside his wife Vuyiswa Malangabi-Nokwe, at the Westpark Cemetery in Johannesburg.
Ramaphosa described Nokwe’s reburial as a bittersweet moment.
