Lib Dems 'very confident' of council gains - as leader says Tory vote 'in meltdown'
Sir Ed Davey has been speaking to broadcasters in Shropshire, where he is awaiting the first real results for his party.
He said: “The Liberal Democrats are very confident, we’re hearing great things across the country.”
Davey went on to say, “The Conservative vote is in meltdown, and it’s coming to the Liberal Democrats.
