Liberal Gisele Kapterian has won the seat of Bradfield on Sydney’s north shore, the ABC projects, giving the Coalition 41 seats in the next parliament.
Independent Nicolette Boele secured a swing but it was not enough to win the historically safe Liberal seat.
Just over 200 votes separated the candidates nine days after voters went to the polls.
