Liberals need to ‘roll up their sleeves and fight’ net zero issue
Liberal Senator Alex Antic claims he was “surprised” and “shocked” by the split between the Liberal Party and the National Party.
“There are going to be ructions and re-positionings that should probably be expected,” Mr Antic told Sky News host Peta Credlin.
“I understand it was a decision of the Nationals for various reasons.
“From our point of view, of course, yes, the Liberal Party is the official party of the Opposition now.
“Good reminder to the party … that we have to be cognisant of the sort of things rural and regional communities are interested in.
“Issues like net zero, sort of battleground I think, which the Liberal Party needs to roll up their sleeves and fight on and reject.”
