Liberals search for new leader and direction
The Liberal leadership race has narrowed itself down to just three after Shadow Defence Minister Andrew Hastie ruled himself out of contention.
At this stage, no one has publicly thrown their hat in the ring, but privately, there is a lot of canvassing going on within Liberal ranks.
Contenders include Shadow Treasurer Angus Taylor, Deputy Leader Sussan Ley and Shadow Immigration Minister Dan Tehan.
