‘Lost control’: Angus Taylor claims Labor is a ‘real risk’ to budgets
Shadow Treasurer Angus Taylor says Labor has “lost control” of the economy, presenting a “real risk” to government, household, and credit budgets.
This comes as Labor released their election costings today.
“The real risk to our economy is Labor, the real risk to our government budget is Labor, the real risk to our household budgets is Labor, and we also learned today that the real risk to our credit rating is Labor,” Mr Taylor told Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell.
“This is a Labor party that has lost control of the budget – $180 odd billion across the forwards that has had no material changes, you said, upfront … as a result of their costings.
“Jim Chalmers has lost control of his colleagues; he’s lost control of the budget. He threw out the budget rules when he came into the job – the first thing he did as Treasurer on his first budget is throw out the rules that have been in place for decades in this country.”
