Luthuli Inquest | New details on Luthuli death revealed in 2nd week
New details on the death of Chief Albert Luthuli were revealed in the second week of the inquest into circumstances surrounding his death. Luthuli died in July in 1967 after being struck by a goods train in Groutville, KwaZulu-Natal. The NPA wants the court to overturn the findings of the original inquest which determined that Luthuli’s death had been an accident. Amongst the witnesses who testified this week, ANC leader Jeff Radebe, Luthuli’s grandson and employees at the Luthuli Museum.
