Magnitude 4.6 earthquake rattles NSW Hunter region
A 4.6 magnitude earthquake has rattled the New South Wales Hunter region.
The quake was felt shortly before 3am near the town of Singleton.
It occurred at a depth of 10 kilometres and was felt as far as Taree in the north and Wollongong in the south.
Nearly 3000 people have reported feeling the tremor.
