Maori MPs facing suspension for haka protest
Debate over an unprecedented punishment for New Zealand opposition MPs who broke out in Haka during a vote has been deferred.
Lawmakers are questioning whether it was an act of peaceful dissent or disruptive and intimidating.
Outside the NZ parliament, demonstrators made their support visible.
Hana-Rāwhiti Maipi-Clarke will be suspended for seven days, and her colleagues for 21 days.
