Market opens strongly on Monday following ‘rollercoaster’ week
Sky News Business Reporter Edward Boyd says the market last week was an “absolute rollercoaster”.
The local stock market has started the shorter trading week in positive territory, after Wall Street posted strong gains on Friday afternoon.
“We saw the market fall 4 per cent Monday, bounce back Tuesday, 2 per cent fall, about 3 per cent on Wednesday, it was just up and down,” Mr Boyd said.
“Hopefully this week will be a little less volatile.”
