In 1996, Pietro De Laurentis, a 19-year-old Italian youth driven by his curiosity surrounding Eastern culture, embarked on a journey of learning the Chinese language, thereby forging an unbreakable bond with Chinese calligraphy. Since then, he has traversed numerous prestigious higher education institutions for advanced studies across China, wandered through ancient stele forests and historical relics, engaged in profound exchanges with both Chinese and international scholars, and shared his insights on the global academic stage.
Pietro often remarks that calligraphy serves as a bridge for him to converse with ancient Chinese sages. Through meticulous replication of each stroke, he feels as though he can transcend the confines of time and space, empathizing deeply with the inner worlds and emotions of those from bygone eras.
