Melbourne Captain Cook memorial won’t be repaired due to consistent vandalism
The Melbourne council has decided not to repair and return a memorial of Captain Cook to Melbourne Park as the vandals keep attacking it, costing the council around $100,000 to fix it altogether.
GT Communications founder Gemma Tognini told Sky News host Andrew Bolt, “It’s not the right call”.
“My advice to these councils is, you invited this on yourselves.
“You dived into all of this social engineering and all of that sort of garbage.
“You invite this kind of behaviour.”
