Mexico sues Google over Gulf of Mexico name change
Mexico is suing Google for changing the Gulf of Mexico’s name to the ‘Gulf of America’ on Google Maps in the US.
During a news conference, Mexico’s President confirmed the “lawsuit has already been filed”.
Republicans in the House of Representatives approved legislation to ‘codify’ Donald Trump’s proposed name change this week.
The bill would make the name change official for federal agencies, but it’s unlikely to champion the Democratic support needed to pass the Senate
