Mike Waltz's departure from White House confirmed as Marco Rubio steps in
Mike Waltz will be the US’s next ambassador to the United Nations, it has been confirmed.
Marco Rubio, the US secretary of state, will step in as Donald Trump’s national security adviser on an interim basis.
It comes after The Atlantic’s editor Jeffrey Goldberg was added to a Signal chat with top-level Trump administration officials, where defence secretary Pete Hegseth shared details about US strikes on Yemen.
