Modi warns Pakistan that India won't tolerate "nuclear blackmail"
On Monday, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed India’s recent military clashes with Pakistan, marking his first public comments since the deadly fighting erupted between the two countries.
“We have just paused our retaliatory action against terrorist and military installations in Pakistan. In the coming days, we will closely monitor every action from Pakistan as a criterion for determining its attitude,” Modi said.
He stated that Operation Sindoor has drawn a new line in the fight against terrorism, reaffirming India’s stance on responding to any terrorist attacks: “A befitting and strong reply will be given.” He stressed that India will not tolerate any nuclear blackmail and said that “India will not see the government supporting terrorism and the masters of terrorism as separate entities.”
“This era is not of war, but it is not even of terrorism.”
Pakistan will have to get rid of its “terrorist infrastructure” if it wants to be “saved,” Modi added.
