Most power restored across Spain and Portugal after major blackout
Power is now almost fully restored across Spain and Portugal, following one of Europe’s most severe blackouts, which grounded flights, paralysed metro systems, disrupted communications networks and shut down ATMs.
Authorities say they are working to ensure an event like this doesn’t happen again but the cause of the outage remains a mystery.
