Mount Fuji hiking fees expected to address climbing issues and overtourism
With prior reservations to climb Mount Fuji this summer being accepted starting May 9, the Shizuoka prefectural government will charge hiking fees to climbers after the Yamanashi prefectural government started doing the same in 2024.
