Mpumalanga community members demand more police visibility
Community members of Kabokweni in Mpumalanga say police need to do more to keep communities safe. This, as Mpumalanga’s Acting Police Commissioner, Dr Zeph Mkhwanazi, announced the province’s crime statistics for the fourth quarter of the 2024/25 financial year in Mbombela
Mpumalanga recorded a decrease in the number of cases of 17 community-reported serious crimes, but sexual assault and rape remain quite high.
Mkhwanazi said police would do everything possible to reduce the number of sexual offences.
