“My Skin CRAWLS When Starmer Talks” | Labour MPs Say They'll Oppose Government Plans On Benefit Cuts
Hartlepool’s Labour MP Jonathan Brash sensationally revealed on Talk that he will rebel against Keir Starmer’s plans to slash benefits.
Brash also admits in his interview with Talk’s Peter Cardwell, that he regrets voting to cut the Winter Fuel Allowance:
This comes as many other Labour MPs say they’ll oppose Government plans to cut disability benefits, warning they’ll harm vulnerable people.
Ministers argue the changes will save £5bn a year and help more people into work.
The reforms come as welfare costs are set to rise from £65bn to £100bn by 2029.
