N West marred by scholar transport issues
Scholar transport woes in the North West Province remain far from being resolved. While the Department of Transport in the province says over 50% of the outstanding invoices have been processed and paid, service providers say the backlog persists, as many invoices remain unpaid. The department says the delay is compounded by glitches of internal payment processes, a challenge that has enormously affected the transportation of learners in the largely rural province.
