National Gunners' Memorial | Wreath-laying, gun salute for fallen gunners
The South African Gunners’ Association says this year’s Memorial Service at the National Gunners’ Memorial site in Potchefstroom in North West is a poignant reminder of the sacrifices of all gunners who fell in the line of duty.
The National Gunners memorial, which included wreath-laying and a Gun Salute for the fallen, also paid homage to Lance Bombardier Itumeleng Moreo – who was among the 14 SANDF members killed earlier this year, while fighting M23 rebel forces in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
