Nationals leader David Littleproud has announced his party will part ways with the Liberal party after he failed to reach an agreement with newly-appointed Liberal party leader Sussan Ley to renew the Coalition. The pair’s break-up came on the back of the Liberals’ staggering losses in the federal election. Mr Littleproud says the parties failed to reach consensus on nuclear power plans and a regional Australia future fund.
