Nationals still ‘unhappy’ at Jacinta Price’s defection as Coalition agreement talks continue
Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell claims it’s been a “big week” for Sussan Ley after she won a Liberal party room ballot and became the first female to lead the party.
“On Thursday, she met the Nationals leader David Littleproud re reaching a Coalition agreement, and no agreement has yet been made,” he said.
Mr Clennell said the Nationals are still “unhappy” over Jacinta Price’s defection to the Liberal Party, whereas the Liberals want a “proper and thorough consideration” of what policy direction to take and don’t want to be “forced into things” by the Nationals.
“Any way you look at it, however, we are a long way from the naming of a shadow ministry for the shattered Opposition,” he said.
