‘New beginning’: Archbishop of Perth discusses Pope Leo XIV’s inauguration
The Prime Minister will join tens of thousands of Catholics, tourists and some of the world’s most powerful people in Rome for Sunday’s inauguration of the new Pope.
Sky News Reporter Cameron Reddin spoke exclusively with Archbishop Tim Costelloe, the Archbishop of Perth and Bishop Greg Bennet, Bishop of Sale in Victoria.
“I think it is an enormously important occasion for Catholics in Australia, but also for Catholics all around the world. I think it represents, in a sense, a new beginning after the papacy of Pope Francis.”
