New SA National Petroleum Company launch: Minister Gwede Mantashe
The Department of Mineral and Petroleum Resources and the Central Energy Fund are launching the South African National Petroleum Company in Sandton. This event marks the official start of operations for the SOE, which is a merger of iGas, PetroSA, and the Strategic Fuel Fund.
There are hopes the company will bolster energy security.
Minister Gwede Mantashe and SANPC Interim CEO Godfrey Moagi are set to outline the company’s mandate and strategic vision.
