New York Mayor Adams says Trump backed him as Biden’s DOJ tried to “humiliate” him
In an emotional message on Tuesday, New York City Mayor Eric Adams said he thanked U.S. President Donald Trump during their meeting last Friday for standing up for him.
“I didn’t know him,” Adams said. “(Trump) was the only presidential candidate that acknowledged what was being done to me that was wrong.”
Adams went on to discuss when he was at the finish line of the 2023 New York City Marathon.
“(Former U.S. president Joe Biden’s Department of Justice) were plotting to take my phones there,” he said. “They knew where I lived. They knew where my office was… They were hoping to take my phones on the international (stage).”
Adams opined over what he thought was the DOJ attempt to “humiliate” him.
