Next Liberal leader will need to ‘clean up’ post-election mess
Sky News contributor Gary Hardgrave says he can’t “make a choice” between who should be the new leader for the conservative movement between Deputy Liberal leader Sussan Ley and Shadow Treasurer Angus Taylor.
Mr Hardgrave claims there is a “certain amount of baggage” that comes with both options.
“Are they prepared to also demand structural change?” Mr Hardgrave said.
“We’ve got to return the party … to the grassroots.
“Which one of those two leaders is gutsy enough to stare down their own factional bosses and say it’s not about you, it’s about Australia.”
