Reform UK have taken control of three councils; Durham council, Staffordshire council and Lincolnshire council.
Reform also won this parliamentary by-election in Runcorn and Helsby by just six votes – the narrowest margin since the war.
In Greater Lincolnshire, tory defector Dame Andrea Jenkyns swept to victory to become the new mayor with a majority of nearly 40,000 votes.
