‘No alternative’: Liberal Party must ‘be successful’
Liberal Senator Alex Antic says the Liberal Party must “be successful” because there is “no alternative”.
“As the Howard era showed, we’re better off together than apart, and the country needs us,” Mr Antic said.
“The bottom line is the only thing that can save this country from the sort of things we saw in the United Kingdom in the early 80s is a Liberal Party that is functioning properly.
“I maintain we do want the Liberal Party to be successful; we have to. There is no other alternative, and it just has to work.”
