"No safe place": Israeli airstrike on Gaza tent encampment kills at least 10
An Israeli airstrike on a tent encampment housing displaced families in Khan Younis killed at least 10 people, authorities said on Wednesday.
Eyewitness Youssef Abu Alrous described the chaos, stating, “All we saw and heard was fire and gunfire. Nothing else – just thick, blazing fire… There is no safe place. Where are we even supposed to go?”
Palestinians mourned loved ones killed in the airstrike. ” A disabled child in a wheelchair – what did this child do to them? What did he do? Was he holding a missile and firing it at them? He did nothing,” one said.
More than 400,000 Palestinians have been displaced since hostilities resumed on March 18 after two months of relative calm, according to UN humanitarian agency OCHA, and Israeli airstrikes and bombardments have killed at least 1,630 people.
