Liberal Senator Dave Sharma discusses the “close contest” for the new Liberal Party leader between Shadow Treasurer Angus Taylor and Deputy Liberal leader Sussan Ley.
“I think both candidates have strong claims and credentials,” Mr Sharma told Sky News host Chris Kenny.
“I don’t think it’s a straight factional vote.
“People recognise the size and significance of the loss we suffered last Saturday.
“They want to see whoever it is … have a plan and have the courage and the resolve to see that through to help repair our political fortunes and broaden our appeal.”
