‘Not something I’m looking to do’: Donald Trump dismisses third term talks
US President Donald Trump has denied plans he is considering a third presidential term.
The move is banned under the US Constitution.
Speaking to NBC News, the US President claimed he wanted to make the most of his current term.
“So many people want me to do it … but it’s something that, to the best of my knowledge, you’re not allowed to do,” President Trump said.
“There are many people selling the 2028 hat, but this is not something I’m looking to do – I’m looking to have four great years and turn it over to somebody, ideally a great Republican.”
