NSW sees record-breaking drowning death toll this Easter break
More than 150 people have been rescued from NSW waters since Good Friday, with the death toll rising to six.
According to lifeguards, the drownings have climbed to an Easter long weekend record.
“Help us not put our people in danger, our volunteer lifesavers and our lifeguards have risked their lives multitude of times,” Surf Life Saving NSW Chief Executive Steven Pearce told Sky News Australia.
Lifeguards are urging Australians to play it safe along the coastline for the rest of the Easter break.
