NW Education has "no record" of a corporal punishment complaint laid by Grade 1's mother
A family in Magogoe village in Mahikeng is demanding answers, after a Grade 2 learner started developing health complications, allegedly due to corporal punishment at Dikakanyo Primary School.
The learner who was still in Grade 1 when the alleged incident happened, is reportedly suffering from migraine, which is being linked to the incident.
His mother alleges that the boy was hit against a chalk board by a teacher last year.
She says the incident took place on the 8th of July last year, but despite multiple complaints to the school, no action has been taken.
The mother alleges that her son was assaulted for sharpening a pencil during a lesson.
