A toy poodle rescued from a garbage bin in a B.C. park nearly a month ago is recovering nicely with his new owner.

“He has three cracked ribs, which are healing nicely. Last week, he had his stitches out,” says dog rescuer Laurie Schildt.
Oscar also had successful surgery on a broken front leg and a broken hip.
