Paddy Gower Opinion: Tory Whanau should be saluted for putting Wellington first and saving a no-doubt divisive and energy-sapping scrap for the mayoral race with Andrew Little.
There is plenty to criticise fairly about Whanau’s mayoralty. I won’t get into that here.
But there is a lot of illogical and irrelevant hate for her. So much of it seems to be based around the fact she is female and Māori.
