भारत के साथ बढ़ते राजनयिक तनाव के बीच पाकिस्तान की नेशनल असेंबली ने एक विशेष सत्र में सर्वसम्मति से भारत के खिलाफ निंदा प्रस्ताव पारित किया. इस सत्र की अध्यक्षता राष्ट्रपति आसिफ अली जरदारी के बुलावे पर की गई थी. सत्र में कानून मंत्री आजम नजीर तरार ने प्रस्ताव पेश करते हुए कहा कि, “देश को इस समय एकजुट होने की आवश्यकता है. हमें एक ऐसा स्पष्ट संदेश देना होगा जो न केवल हमारी एकता को दर्शाए, बल्कि अंतरराष्ट्रीय समुदाय तक भी पहुंचे.”
Amid growing diplomatic tensions with India, Pakistan’s National Assembly unanimously passed a resolution condemning India in a special session. This session was chaired by President Asif Ali Zardari. Presenting the resolution in the session, Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar said, “The country needs to be united at this time. We have to give a clear message that not only reflects our unity but also reaches the international community.”
