Palestinian death toll passes 52,000 as Israel's aid blockade is contested in world court | ITV News
Aid groups say supplies will soon run out as Israel’s blockade of all imports, including food and medicine, is contested in the International Court of Justice (ICJ).
Israel ended its ceasefire with Hamas by launching a surprise bombardment on 18 March and has been carrying out daily waves of strikes. Forces on the ground have expanded a buffer zone and encircled Rafah in the south. Israeli troops now control around half of the territory.
An Israeli blockade on all imports including food and medicine has been in place for nearly 60 days. Aid groups say supplies will soon run out and that thousands of children are malnourished.
