Parties in GNU will meet soon: ANC
ANC secretary-general Fikile Mbalula says political parties in the Government of National Unity will soon meet to re-negotiate the terms and conditions of the GNU.
Prior to Treasury’s decision to reverse the VAT hike, the ANC and DA had been at loggerheads over the fiscal framework, resulting in the future of the DA in the GNU being questioned.
Mbalula says it’s time for parties to pave a new way forward, for working together in the future.
He made these remarks at the party’s headquarters in Johannesburg, as they briefed members of the media about the National budget and other issues of national interest.
